No election- yet

The plug will not be pulled on the Conservative government of Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
Yet.
Maybe.
Opposition Leader Michael Ignatieff said Monday he was holding off on bringing down the Tory minority government, but wanted some answers from Harper on employment insurance issues, why the majority of recently approved infrastructure spending has not appeared to be spent yet, how Canada would secure a medical isotope supply now that the Chalk River nuclear facility is down, and how the new deficit, reportedly at $50 billion this year, would be wrestled down.
Ignatieff, the Liberal leader in the House of Commons, said his party could vote against the government Friday on a confidence measure. That could trigger a summer election.
The face-off between Liberals and Conservative continues as the clock winds down on this parliamentary session before its summer break.
